The Edward Woodward Story

Last seen on screen in the UK in BBC's soap EastEnders as Tommy Clifford, Edward Woodward was better known for his starring roles in cult films like The Wicker Man and BreakerMorant and his wonderful portrayals as Callan and The Equalizer.

He was unquestionably one of the finest actors of his generation, and so much more than just a soap star, having also appeared in several West End plays and musicals throughout his career. RADA-trained Woodward had a strong singing voice and a delicate touch, his stoic demeanor often hinting at a controlled rage just under the surface.

Younger stars such as Simon Pegg, who cast him in Hot Fuzz, actively sought him out so they could hear his advice and stories.

The Edward Woodward Story will be full of images from a long and brilliant career and will honour the legend.
